After adding the .grd file you have to actually click on "stack" in the lower left hand corner of the window. this will pull up another window where you can tell the program where to save the files and under what name.
Thanks Roberto for your help. Unfortunately, I've installed the 5.2 and 5.4 versions, but they don't work either: in the make_stack window there is no box to introduce the name of the new stack!! (??). If I could I would attach a screen shot for you to see it...

No stack button
That's the point... there is no "stack button" in the lower left hand corner. I can see only an "apply button" and a "close button"...
Thanks anyway!
Making a stack
1) Click on add grid. All files added must be GRD FILES.
2) Click on stack and introduce a name for your stack.
NOTE: Your GRID files must have the same dimentions (Rows, cols, MaxX, MinX, MaxY and MinY)
This procedure works in DIVA-GIS 5.2 or 5.4 (and maybe in other version but I have these ones)
PS. I apologyze about my english

I have recreated the "make stack" button (version 7.2.2). Hopefully it does not disappear anymore. Please let me know...
