How to websites are the buzz, I have been told. Here is a "how to" that uses DIVA, to make a shapefile from a set of points with coordinates. Unfortunately without video. You can also create shapefiles for lines or polygons in DIVA, either from a text file or by drawing on the map. I have not found a how to for that yet. But there is always the manual.

I started to do DIVA GIS --- Exercise 1 (Diva GIS tutorial on wild potatoes). In this exercise I get error (Access violation at address 004C816A in module 'diva.exe.' Read od address 00000000) when I click on Analysis/Point to Polygon. After pressing OK this error, the window Point to Polygon appears. When I define everything and then press Apply; again the error message appears - dumping text file and then I/O error 32. I am expecting .shp file as an output. Please kindly let me know how to proceed. Thank you in advance
