Hello,
I used DVIA GIS a few years back with no problem at all. Today I downloaded the new version and tried to extract the bioclim variables for a few species and I keep getting the error "no climate data found". I did do the "data/import grid" (which worked fine) and added the files after downloading the bioclim file from worldclim. I think I am doing everything right but just can't get it to work....
so how can I get climate data into DIVA now?
Any help will be much appreciated, as I think I am going mad!
I am also frustrated, having used DIVA fine just last year (same version), I cannot now get a new installation to accept the worldclim data. The instructions say to point Folder in Tools/Options/Climate to the unzipped downloaded data, but when I do so, no additional options appear. When I press Save, I get a 'no climate files' error followed by ' '' is not a valid integer value'. Neither Ok nor Apply do anything.
I've tried extracting the files, leaving the zip file in the folder, and pointing directly to the zip file.
I remember at my previous use that DIVA is not very friendly with loading climate data, but that I managed to eventually trick it into working. Unfortunately, I can't remember what I did.
Please help! How do I load climate data into DIVA?
