DIVA-GIS

I have data in Brahms software. Diva In 7.1.7, when I import data from Brahms and add a new layer of map, the points are not displayed correctly on the map:

Data> Import Points to Shapefile> From File dBase

InputFile: mymapfile.dbf (brahms date)
X: LONG
Y: LAT
Outputfile: Bra.shp (BRA_adm1.shp copy)

Same as in DIVA 5.

Layer> Add Layer> BRA_adm1.shp

I have two layers, the points of layer Bra.shp should appear under the map layer BRA_adm1.shp, but doesn't!
