I use Export Gridfile and select Shapefile (polygons),
but I get a white display and the table is empty.
I'm not sure if I'm doing the correct thing, my goal is to get a vector
file from a gri+grd file.
I am trying to open the .grd files in ArcMap but can not figure out a way to change the format before hand so that ArcMap will recognize the file. What would you recommend?
You must either export the file to another format (e.g. BIL, ASCII). Or use "Write VRT" to write a Virtual RasTer header file that allows ArcMap to understand the file. Look in the fourth group of the Data menu.
It seems to me that this has been fixed. Not? It works for me. Or perhaps this fails on very large files? It is useful to first use reclassify to set all background values (perhaps zeros) to nodata so that these are not exported.
